March Agenda Setup – Birthday Month!

Happy March! It’s officially my birthday month, whoo hoo! I haven’t done an updated agenda setup for 2018 yet, so I thought I would write a blog post about it in honor of the first day of March. As most of you may know, I have the Louis Vuitton Agenda PM in monogram. This month will mark two years since I got the agenda, and been using it everyday since.

As I’ve mentioned in the past, I’ve always used this as an agenda and a wallet. It’s a very versatile piece, and I can’t justify spending over $500 on a wallet when I can use this agenda perfectly fine as one! Since I always used it as a wallet, I never decorated my agenda so it wouldn’t become too full. But when this year came around I felt a spark of creativity come out of me, and I really wanted to decorate my agenda! I decided I wanted that chunky agenda look, masked with pages of cute stickers, quotes, dividers, and cute paperclips! But – I didn’t want to do it for the price. Most of this stuff can get pretty pricey (especially on Etsy), so I decided to head to Michaels and see what they got.

Surprise, surprise! Michaels had a whole aisle dedicated to planner supplies. Not a whole lot for the PM agenda (like calendar refills), but they did have supplies that could be used for it. I got everything here for $30! I got a sticker box that came with washi tape, stickers, paper, and paper clips (around $8 because I used a coupon!). I also got other stickers ($3.99 a set), paperclips ($2 a set), a fluffy keychain ($4), and scrapbook paper ($8).

I already had purchased my 2018 refills from Handy Forms, which I love, and got everything else at  Michaels. I decided I was going to DIY and make my own dividers using scrapbook paper, washi tape, and stickers!

Using the scrapbook paper, I found the designs I liked best to use as my dashboard and dividers. I cut them to size, then used the extra paper to tape on the divider tab with washi tape. I then hole punched them one by one, since I only have a single hole puncher. It isn’t perfect, but it will do, especially because I’m not spending $40 on just dividers!

I used this gorgeous floral scrapbook paper as my main dashboard, then used stickers to spell my name out.

My first divider was the calendar and ‘To Do’ tab. I chose this pretty foil print scrapbook paper and repeated the same thing as I did with the dashboard paper, cutting it to size but then adding the divider tab with a ‘To Do’ sticker. I also added the word ‘Calendar’ using stickers, and also a ‘To Do’ sticker on the front for some decoration.

To the left is the back of my main dashboard paper, decorated with birthday month stickers! It will put me in a happy place everyday this month just looking at it, as well as the quotes I put underneath for daily inspiration.

Inside my calendar I decorated my birthday weekend with stickers to remind me of my birthday plans!

My second divider is for the ‘Notes’ section. I have blank pieces of paper for notes, and will also be adding an Expense Record here too. The tab is a sticker that says ‘Goals’, because I can also write notes of the goals I want to accomplish.

This particular divider is a little different though, because I made it into a pocket. Since it is a Note divider, I thought it would be a good idea to make it into a top slit pocket to throw in notes/papers/receipts/etc.

I just cut two pieces of the same scrapbook paper and washi taped them together. Here is the back and the note paper I use:

Right now I only made two dividers, since I don’t have many sections yet, but I will probably make more soon! I use the paper clips for decoration in the credit card slots, and another paper clip as a book mark. A set of three cute paperclips at Michael’s was only $2! If you buy the felt ones on Etsy they are usually around $3 plus shipping, so around $7 for one paper clip! Yes, they are felt, and super cute, but those can add up. I’m satisfied with these paper clips for now!

I use the Filofax Pocket Credit Card Holder, which I place right after my dashboard, that holds my DL and credit cards (not pictured). This is now how I use my agenda as a wallet and a planner! I definitely like it a lot better, and can’t believe it took me this long to begin decorating my agenda. It was fun designing it and I can see why many people do this. It brings you into another element and is a stress reliever for sure!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! If I find other good deals and add more things to my agenda, I will definitely share! 🙂
