Louis Vuitton Key Pouch (Key Cles) Review / Unboxing

This month I have literally been on a Louis Vuitton obsession! My sweet boyfriend was kind enough (even after how annoying I was) to purchase my first brand new LV piece! I originally decided on the LV Key Pouch (or previously called the Key Cles) to use for coins, since I use my LV PM Agenda as a wallet. I did extensive research on the Cles and came to find out it’s also extremely versatile, which are the best kind of pieces! It can be used for keys, a mini wallet, coins, a bag charm, lipsticks, or something to use on a quick trip to the grocery store.

Ordering:

I chose the Cles in the monogram print because I heard from a lot of people the monogram lasts longer than the DE (Damier Ebene) print, and for my first ‘new’ piece I decided it was the best option. I will eventually get the DE in the future 🙂

I ordered it on a Sunday night, I received a shipping confirmation on Tuesday, then received the product on Thursday. LV ships with UPS 2 Day shipping, which is convenient since you’re so anxious to receive it! I didn’t order this as a gift or with a special note like I did for my Agenda Notes, so the box did not come with the leather strap and gift tag you see in that post here. So keep in mind if you’re ordering online and want the leather strap on your box, just mark the purchase as a gift;)

Unboxing:

Upon opening the box, it was similar to the Agenda Notes unboxing, although this box was much smaller. When you open the box it contains ‘Louis Vuitton’ written inside, bubble wrap, the receipt envelope, then dun dun dun dun…..the gorgeous brown LV box containing a precious item, haha!

The box contains a leather tab to pull open the box like a drawer. Once opened, there’s a yellow cloth Louis Vuitton dust bag with the key pouch inside.

The Key Pouch Cles:

Once I had the key pouch in my hands I just admired it’s beauty for a second, okay!?? When I unzipped it I could immediately smell the leather, which smelled great, haha. Inside contained the key chain along with the textile card. I normally use the Cles with the keychain hanging out, but you can also just slip it inside if you prefer it to be secure and not flailing around.

I’ve heard you can fit up to 10 cards inside the Cles, so it’s pretty roomy. You can put a few cards, cash,  and a key and it will still fit as well. The dimensions measure 4.7 x 2.8 x 0.4 inches.

I have absolutely been loving my Cles, and think it was the perfect purchase. I’m currently using it as a coin pouch, which has fit quite a few dollars in coins. I’m excited to be purchasing a Mini Pochette next, so I can start using my Cles inside my mini 🙂

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 9, 2016:

-So for the past few months I’ve been using my key pouch as…….a key pouch haha! I have my car key and house key attached to the chain and it’s been working fabulous as a key pouch. If you have more than two keys I wouldn’t recommend it because it would become very bulky and wouldn’t be able to zip closed. I absolutely do not baby this key pouch since it hangs from my keys and is around, and it has held up very nicely since I got it almost 6 months ago. The hardware color is still intact and the canvas and leather is still in pristine condition. I read many articles about how the hardware became discolored and very scratched in less than a year, and so far I haven’t witnessed  it on mine. Let’s see how it works out for the next 6 months! I’m also thinking about getting another Cles, this is definitely a must have in your LV collection!

I highly recommend purchasing the Cles if you’re looking!! Do you have one? What do you use your Cles for?!!! Let me know!
