Fall Styles and Decor

Happy September everyone! As summer fades and fall is upon us quickly (September 22 to be exact), the weather cools and we store away our shorts for the next 8 months. Now it’s time to bring out the pumpkin and fall decor, sweater dresses, and leggings! I can’t believe how quick this year has gone by! I feel like just yesterday I bought a few new Hollister shorts for summer!

This flowy knee length T-shirt dress was perfect to start fall in. I actually found mine at Charlotte Russe in the clearance section (they have a great clearance right now, a lot of things around $5)! It covers the chest area and is long enough to cover most of my legs so I won’t get chilly, but also has short sleeves and lightweight so I won’t get hot. The weather is still around 80 degrees, so it’s definitely the kind of dresses I like to wear around this time!

Not only could you wear these types of dresses for casual events or to the store for autumn, the dress also has that comfortable lounge feeling…so if you were home reading with your cup of coffee, this dress would be perfect for that too! (I’m not too big on coffee, but my mom has the cutest coffee stations ever!)

Fall decor is always refreshing, especially anything with pumpkins! It just helps bring out the season in a prominent way. Forget about the leaves and and bring on the pumpkins! My mom said there’s a lot of cute fall decor at Homegoods like these ones, but you can also make your own! Find a tin can, get some hay or straw, purchase mini pumpkins and create your own design around a candle like this one.

For a dining room center piece, use a mini trough tin, stack some straw inside and the mini pumpkins! This decoration is so cute! Your guests at the dining room table will definitely have something to say about it!

My sister even has the cutest fall candles and pumpkin decoration too while she studies (with her Mimosa of course)! The decor is just the perfect, relaxing item for fall!

I’ll miss summer, but definitely glad the weather is finally cooling down from the 105 degrees it’s been. I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! Mine was great, spent with my mom and DB. They made delicious tacos and we had some banana splits for dessert. We watched The Conjuring 2 (freaky!), and A Girl Like Me (which I recommended them to watch because its such an amazing, sad movie).
