Shukai San Jose 2015

SHUKAI. Where do I begin! This was my first year attending Shukai in Japantown San Jose. I definitely did not expect the kind of turnout it had! It was honestly one of the best shows I attended, which is crazy because it was just downtown but turned out to be huge. Here’s a little recap of my day:

Photographer Gary Wong linked me up with Go Wraps to represent them at their booth during Shukai. I was really excited, so on September 13 I drove to San Jose once again, parked my car at my moms house, and got dropped off at the show so I wouldn’t have to stress about finding parking downtown (thanks DB!) I met Gary at the show and he introduced me to the Go Wraps team and they gave me a cute tank top to wear. Gary and I decided to go take photos with all the cars first, which literally took hours! I was working it up out there, taking photos with some of you lovelies, cars, booths, and model friends.

Thanks to Gary I networked with a lot of cool people and met new faces and saw familiar ones. I even finally got to meet Sam Du, the editor of Super Street Magazine, and he put my pic up on their website of the Shukai coverage. I was so stoked about that! After about 3 or 4 hours of taking photos, I headed back to the booth to change into my Converse, because my wedges were killing me! I wore burgundy high waisted shorts with a tank top and my Calvin Klein bralette underneath. It was easy to change into the Go Wraps shirt for more photos since I had my Calvin underneath. We took even more photos with the Go Wraps cars, and those came out so dope!! They even had me put on the Star Wars Stormtrooper mask and take pics with the white Corvette, since it matched perfectly with my shirt and shoes too. Everyone at Go Wraps is super awesome and nice, and I appreciate them letting me take pics all over their nice cars. (Like literally in their trunks, hoods, and out the roof haha.)

I had planned to sell posters at the booth but literally had NO time!! There were so many people I was networking with, meeting, and taking photos with. At one point as I was posing for a photo, I saw a guy take a selfie of himself with me in the background posing haha! If that was you, yes, I saw!!! hahah! After I took pics with Go Wraps I went to introduce myself to Ashley Vee and finally got to meet her. I also stopped by the Sneakerpopup booth to hang out with my Mexipina twinsie Cyn. Shoutout to Sneaker Popup for the shirt they gave me! You guys are awesome. I ended up taking a few photos of Cyn and more with other people as well.

Around 5:15 I finally headed out. It was an amazing time, exhausting but GREAT! I thank Gary and Go Wraps for the opportunity and appreciate everyone who took pics with me or of me and tagged me on Instagram! I literally took like 1,500 photos that day. Whoaaa! I was sore from posing and walking in heels for a couple days after that lmao! It was all well worth it though! Thanks to everyone at Shukai for putting on a great show and all the hard work. Thank you everyone, see you at the next event!
