Hot Import Nights San Jose 2015

Due to the date change, I was able to attend Hot Import Nights NorCal in San Jose on July 18! I’m one of HIN’s official models and always look forward to this show! I attended HIN Santa Clara 2013, and was supposed to attend last year as well and be an official gogo dancer, but got sick and had to cancel in 2014 ;/ I’m glad I was able to attend this year though, because I had a great time! I wore a black off the shoulder crop top with black high waisted shorts, a gold chain necklace, and black wedges for my first look because it was classy and welcoming.

HIN San Jose 2015 was located at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds and was a much smaller show than the last HIN I attended. Some cars were indoor and some were outdoor. Although it was smaller, I still enjoyed it and I had an even better time than the last. I brought my sister, Sabrina, with me to be my personal photographer (she’s amazing at what she does), and everyone thought she was modeling too. haha. Valles Sisters taking over HIN! We arrived about 5:30 and a flock of photographers began taking photos of me before I even settled in! It was great though, and for the first hour I checked out all the sick rides and took pictures.

At 6:30 was the first round of the Miss HIN Norcal model search, so I headed to the stage and they gave us HIN shirts to wear. They asked all the models a few questions then had us remove the shirts and throw it to the crowd. The next round was at 8:30, so Sabrina and I continued taking pictures and mingling with people. I met Donna Pham and took a couple pics with her as well. It was great seeing everyone and people I knew!

For the 2nd round was Bikini, and this time they gave us hats to sign and throw to the crowd. They played a sucky song when it was my turn to go up, which was a downer! haha. After that round I changed into a more casual outfit; a black bra, high waisted shorts, black undershorts, and Nikes because my feet were killing me by that time! Vicki Li was there by that time and she hugged me and we took some pics.

There was supposed to be the GoGo Competition, but I didn’t know what time it was at. So I asked and they said that NOBODY signed up for the gogo competition except for me, so it was cancelled. I was so disappointed! HIN always has a gogo competition! They should have just gave me the $200 for 1st place haha.

At 10:15pm was the last round for Miss Hin. (What a long night!) All the models were super tired by that time but looked cute in all the classy dress attire. I wore a simple orange bodycon dress. They had the models do a boba competition, (who could finish the drink first), but they didn’t have enough drinks made so I couldn’t participate. But it was OK, because I don’t like boba. lol. They had each model go out on stage again and asked a few questions, then had us all go out at the same time. I didn’t win, but I think I did pretty good. I believe the winner was friends with people from HIN anyways…hmm….

After that last round my sister and I left. We were super tired and hungry and we stopped at In-N-Out to eat our little hearts out. I dropped my sister off at her place in San Jose, then drove home that night to Modesto. Such a long day! It was worth it though! I want to thank every single person who asked us to take pics with them, and that tagged us on Instagram and FB. (My IG is @micalav and Sabrina’s is @brivee_). It was also very nice to see my car show family and thank you guys for all the support!

I know many people were disappointed with HIN this year, stating that it was way too small and boring. It was smaller and they did less activities, but they still worked hard to bring a good show. I had a great time and met a lot of new faces and saw old ones. Be sure to say hi at the next show! Hope you guys enjoyed my Hot Import Nights San Jose 2015 coverage 🙂
